1966 Plymouth Barracuda

Formula S

This 1966 Plymouth Barracuda Formula S is a nicely restored example, finished in dark green metallic paint with custom pinstripes and solid white racing stripes down the middle of the car. Inside, you'll find cream vinyl seats and door trim, along with an aftermarket wood grain steering wheel, brushed stainless steel on the dash, and a wood grain center console. This classic muscle car is powered by a 390 cubic inch V8 with a Holley Sniper EFI fuel injection system, producing 450 hp to the rear wheels through a 4-speed automatic transmission. The car currently sits on chrome Cragar wheels wrapped in 215/70R14 Primal Sport tires. This Barracuda is a well-done yet subtle resto-mod, with the current 390ci engine installed a couple of years ago by Soneff's Master Garage in Denver. Invoices for the modifications and engine installation are available and total over $12,000. The first-generation Barracuda was a fastback-designed muscle car featuring the largest rear glass window at the time and debuted in 1964 as the fastback version of the Plymouth Valiant. This 1966 Barracuda Formula S marks the end of the first generation before being redesigned as a coupe. This early "pony car" is perfect for anyone looking for a well-sorted resto-mod that still retains its classic looks and styling.
