1959 MG MGA Twin Cam | Now Live on Bring a Trailer

We’re excited to present this beautifully restored 1959 MG MGA Twin Cam, one of the rarest and most desirable variants of the classic MGA roadster. The car underwent an approximately $85,000 refurbishment by Auto Vintagery of La Jolla, California, between 2021 and 2022. The restoration included refinishing the body in British Racing Green, rebuilding the 1.6-liter twin-cam inline-four and close-ratio four-speed manual transmission, overhauling the suspension and four-wheel Dunlop disc brakes, and reupholstering the Deluxe bucket seats in tan leather and vinyl.

Additional equipment includes twin Weber carburetors, PerTronix electronic ignition, an upgraded water pump, a high-torque starter, a Falcon stainless-steel exhaust system, Dunlop center-lock wheels, a tan canvas soft top, and a mahogany-rimmed steering wheel. The car has accumulated approximately 1,500 miles since the restoration was completed and was recently serviced in preparation for the sale. Extensive restoration photographs and documentation are included with the auction.
